CounterCat Search - TopSlot™

The CounterCat search engine is an Automotive Search Engine.  We cater to businesses and consumers seeking information on automobiles.  From time to time, you may find a website that is NOT an automotive site.  When this occurs we would appreciate it if you send us some feedback reporting the site so that we can remove it.  In addition, we will do our best to moderate all of our content so that you are assured only the best automotive sites on the Internet.   If you search for a keyword that is not found in our site, we offer the ability to search other popular search engines such as, AltaVista.com, MSN.com, and the DMOZ.org engine.

Searching

To search for a website in CounterCat.com, just type in a few descriptive words (aka keywords)  and hit the 'enter' key or hit one of the links found on the home page or resulting pages.  A link looks like this.  Upon doing so, a list of relevant web pages will be displayed.  Since CounterCat only returns web pages that contain all the words in your query, refining or narrowing your search is as simple as adding more words to the search terms you have already entered. Your new search will return a smaller number of pages CounterCat found for your original "too-broad" query.  If you search for BMW, you will find all sites with the word BMW contained therein, searching for BMW PARTS, would presumably return a list of sites with BOTH the word BMW and PARTS.

For best results, it's important to choose your keywords wisely. Keep these tips in mind:

• Try the obvious first. If you're looking for information on OIL FILTERS, enter "OIL FILTERS" as opposed to "FILTERS".
• Enter keywords more likely to appear on a site with the information you want. "BMW FLORIDA" gets better results than "BMW IN FLORIDA".
• Make keywords as specific as possible. "CLASSIC CAR" gets more relevant results than "CAR".

Capitalization

CounterCat searches are NOT case sensitive. All letters, regardless of how you type them, will be understood as lower case. For example, searches for "bmw parts", "BMW PARTS", and "Bmw Parts" will all return the same results.

Wildcards

To provide the most accurate results, CounterCat does not use "wildcard" searches. In other words, CounterCat searches for exactly the words that you enter in the search box. Searching for "ENG*" will not yield "engine" or "engines".
